Ethical Agreements

Who We Are
Psychotherapy has been captured by harmful ideologies that prevent it from being the effective and artful craft it was designed to be.
We are a group of US therapists who agree to the following ideas:

Neutrality in the therapy space. We believe that great therapy happens when clients are allowed to have their ideas, beliefs and view of the world without our guidance or interference. Our role is to support them in their views, not ours.

Ethical Care. We practice care that is thoughtful, respectful and no matter what theory of therapy we use, it evolves from training and evidence -based practices.

Therapy should be Ideology-free. We see our clients as unique, inherently resilient individuals, not just members of a particular group. Because we engage with our clients as the nuanced and multi-layered people they are, we are able to truly help them the way that works best for their individual circumstances.

Committed to Change. Change isn’t easy and we believe that by gently challenging assumptions, change will happen. We won't agree with clients to make them feel better, because we are too invested in our clients’ happiness. We trust that clients come to us because they want to actually make changes and not just have their fears assuaged.
